Paul Loebach
Paul Loebach is an American designer based in New York City. Born in Cincinnati, he is descended from a long line of German woodworkers and engineers. He studied industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design before beginning his career working with furniture designer John Davies. Loebach founded his Brooklyn-based studio to explore the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary manufacturing. His work spans furniture, lighting, and product design, often drawing on historical references while incorporating modern production techniques. His background reflecting a lineage connected to engineering and manufacturing informs his approach to design as both a technical and cultural practice. Loebach’s projects have been developed for a range of clients and manufacturers, including collaborations with major lifestyle brands like Williams Sonoma and Martha Stewart. His work emphasizes clarity of form, material integrity, and a balance between familiarity and innovation, positioning design as a dialogue between past and present.
